Asset relationships show how a company's digital assets fit together: which services are connected, and who depends on whom. For example, that Microsoft 365 connects to Azure AD, Teams and SharePoint. It makes hidden dependencies visible, so you can see the consequence if one asset fails or changes owner.

Why do dependencies between assets matter?

Because a single weak point can spread widely. If one person is the sole administrator of an asset that ten other systems depend on, that is a risk. Asset relationships surface exactly that, so you can record who takes over before a problem arises.

How do I create relationships between assets?

You link two assets with one click from the asset register. The relationships then appear as a visual network you can zoom and move around in, instead of a long list.
